Where we are
We currently have seven studio holders at Craven Arts House, all of whom support our Trustees in promoting creativity in the Craven area.
As part of a former parish school my lovely light studio incorporates the original wooden screens that separated boys from girls - these days we let both in together!

Celebrating Yorkshire's Dales
Green gold, quinacridone gold, burnt sienna and indigo are my signature colours expressing my feelings about our natural world especially its geology and terrain.
I have been a watercolour artist practicing in Yorkshire and Lancashire for the past 20+ years. My art expresses my feelings about a subject rather than being truly representational. I am moved by the intensity of J. M. W. Turner's ethereal paintings and more modern day artist Michael Morgan both of whom challenged watercolour ‘rules’ with loose and evocative styles.
